Introducing our new Between the Lions Curriculum in partnership with WGBH Boston BEGINNING IN FEBRUARY 2008!
IMAJINEthat and Little Sprouts Child Enrichment Centers have partnered with WGBH and PBS Kids Between the Lions to enhance their program.
On February 22, 2008, Leona the Lion recently took a break from reading stories with her family on WGBH’s popular PBS KIDS series Between the Lions to visit Little Sprouts Enrichment Centers - an early education program with seven locations in Massachusetts. After visiting the children in their classrooms at Little Sprouts, Leona headed over to IMAJINEthat.
Not only did the Little Sprouts preschoolers and kindergartners join the show, but also over 100 children from the local community came out to see Leona, who was also welcomed by the Lawrence Mayor Michael Sullivan, along with Sal Lupoli of Salvatore’s Restaurant and Sals Pizza. They both welcomed Leona to Lawrence and also joined in on the fun, and sang some songs with the children and Leona. “Between the Lions is a wonderful children’s program that introduces young children to the love of reading,” Little Sprouts CEO Susan Leger Ferraro said. “We’re so pleased that Leona was here to share her love of books with the children at our Little Sprouts Centers and with the children of the local community.”
