IMAJINE THAT HONORED AS B CORPORATION BEST FOR THE WORLD AT BERKELEY

PRESS RELEASE - September 8, 2016

Imajine That is proud to be honored at the annual B Corporation Best for the World Celebration & Awards Ceremony on September 8 2016, in partnership with the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas Business School.

Imajine That scored in the top 10 percent of all B Corporations in Community, Customer, and Overall Impact and is recognized as an exceptional performer in a global community of incredible businesses.

Susan Leger-Ferraro, Imajine That’s Founder and CEO, was present to receive the award and celebrate with fellow B Corporations across the world. “The virtues, ideals and practical model that supports an organization in practicing social and environmental stewardship by being a B Corp is amazing. It's a road map to transform humanity!" said Susan Leger-Ferraro.

For the past 10 years, Imajine That has been committed to high standards of social and environmental performance and was certified at a B Corporation in November 2015. The certification received a truly impressive score of 163.4 , well above the average certification score of 95.

B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today, there is a growing community of more than 1,400 Certified B Corps from 42 countries and more than 120 industries working together toward one unifying goal: to redefine success in business.

B Corp status – granted by B Lab, a Wayne, Pa., nonprofit – has become a badge of honor for socially and environmentally conscious businesses since 2007. Some of the bigger names to nab the certification include Ben & Jerry's, Patagonia, Etsy, Warby Parker and New Belgium Brewing. This isn't just lip service. "The companies that are becoming B Corporations are purpose-driven already," says Dermot Hikisch, B Lab's director of business development. (Entrepreneur magazine August 6, 2013)
